Every month, we recap the news covered in our Weekly Round-Up. Here’s what you might have missed last August:


August 2 - Grime, developed by Clover Bite and published by Akupara Games, released on Google Stadia and PC.


August 3 - Lemnis Gate released for the Playstation 5/4, Xbox Series X/S and One, and PC.


August 4 - Dungeon Defenders: Awakened released for the Nintendo Switch.


August 5 - Dreamscaper released for PC and Nintendo Switch.


August 6 - Neon Giant’s cyberpunk action RPG Ascent got a new patch.

 

August 9 - Clan O’Conall raised $36,503.03 with the Hibernian Summer Games for its partnership with SickKids.


August 10 - Xbox will be partnering with Special Olympics for Gaming for Inclusion, a three-day, three-game e-sports tournament featuring teams composed of athletes with and without intellectual disabilities.


August 11 - Route 59 Games’ Necrobarista: Final Pour released on Switch’s eShop.


August 12 - Pet Project Games revealed its trailer for its upcoming horror co-op, Ripout.


August 13 - Tsugunohi teamed up with Vtuber personality, Kizuna Ai for its latest release with Ai’s Silent Cries.

 

August 16 - ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights released its update for Windows via Steam, keeping old- and new-gen players waiting for their turn.


August 17 - Get ready for Pinocchio: Become Human with Lies of P’s homepage going live.


August 18 - Here comes Playerstate, a new platform to bring the gaming community together with the power of creation.


August 19 - In a world bereft of order, executioners become judge and jury in Paradark Studio’s ExeKiller.


August 20 - The Garden Path found its way to a 152%-funded Kickstarter!

 

August 23 - Assimilate! (A Party Game) rises to the challenge to make players never trust their friends again.


August 24 - Crusader Kings III conquered a new domain—or rather a new platform—as it comes to consoles for the first time.


August 25 - Jumanji: The Curse Returns, promises the video game re-imagining of the beloved classic movie.


August 26 - DoubleMoose’s brinepunk shooter, Abyssus dared players to stand at the edge of a new world.


August 27 - Making the boring 9-5 workday a bit more exciting comes Redhill Games’ new FPS shooter, Nine to Five.

 

August 30 - Emperor Games released the trailer for Roman Empire Wars.


August 31 - Clockwork Labs came to life to bring more players together through games and not just skill.
